Victor Morin

Victor Morin, born on August fifteenth, eighteen sixty-five, in Saint-Hyacinthe, Canada East, was a distinguished Canadian notary, politician, and historian. He pursued his studies at the Université Laval de Montréal, laying the foundation for a remarkable career that spanned over seven decades.

In eighteen ninety, Morin began his professional journey as a notary, joining his uncle's firm, Papineau & Marin. His dedication to the legal profession was evident as he continued to practice for an impressive seventy-two years, contributing significantly to the field.

Morin's political career took flight in nineteen ten when he was elected to the Montreal City Council, representing the Centre (Vieux-Montréal) district. His leadership extended beyond local politics; from nineteen fifteen to nineteen twenty-four, he served as president of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Society, showcasing his commitment to community and culture.

A Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, Morin held the prestigious position of president from nineteen thirty-eight to nineteen thirty-nine.
