Victor of Aveyron, born in the year 1780, is renowned as one of the most famous feral children in history. Discovered around the age of nine, his case stands out as the most thoroughly documented instance of a feral child. His early life was marked by a series of escapes from civilization, with Victor reportedly running away approximately eight times before his situation garnered significant attention.

His journey took a pivotal turn when he came under the care of physician Jean Marc Gaspard Itard. Itard was intrigued by Victor's potential for learning and dedicated five years to working with him. During this time, he not only provided Victor with a name but also devised innovative methods to teach him language and social skills.
