Victor J. Oreskovich, born on August 15, 1986, is a former professional ice hockey player from Canada. Known for his role as a winger, Oreskovich was selected fifty-fifth overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche. His early career saw him play for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association and the Kitchener Rangers in the Ontario Hockey League.
In 2007, Oreskovich signed a contract with the Avalanche but opted not to report to the team's American Hockey League affiliate, leading to a two-year hiatus from the sport. He made a comeback in 2009 when he signed with the Florida Panthers, where he split his time between the NHL and the Rochester Americans, the Panthers' AHL affiliate.
Oreskovich's career took a significant turn when he was traded to the Vancouver Canucks, joining the team in 2011 during their run to the Stanley Cup Finals, where they faced the Boston Bruins. However, in October 2011, he was waived by the Canucks and subsequently assigned to the Chicago Wolves, the Canucks' AHL affiliate.
After retiring from professional hockey in 2012, Oreskovich returned to academia in 2015, earning a Master of Business Administration degree. He has since joined the Royal Bank of Canada, marking a new chapter in his professional journey.
