Victor Wembanyama

Victor Wembanyama, born on January 4, 2004, is a remarkable French professional basketball player currently showcasing his talents with the San Antonio Spurs in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Known affectionately as "Wemby" and "the Alien," he was selected first overall by the Spurs in the 2023 NBA draft, a testament to his extraordinary potential and skill set.

Wembanyama's journey in professional basketball began at the tender age of fifteen with Nanterre 92 in the LNB Pro A during 2019. His career quickly ascended as he moved to ASVEL, where he clinched the Pro A title in his sole season with the team. The 2022–23 season saw him join Metropolitans 92, where he made history by becoming the youngest player to win the Pro A MVP award, while also earning accolades as the Pro A Best Defender and leading the league in scoring, rebounds, and blocks.
