Victoria Nuland

Victoria Nuland, born on July first, nineteen sixty-one, is a distinguished American diplomat and politician known for her extensive service in the U.S. Foreign Service. She held the prestigious position of Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs from twenty twenty-one to twenty twenty-four, showcasing her expertise in international relations.

Her career includes significant roles such as Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs from twenty thirteen to twenty seventeen and the eighteenth U.S. ambassador to NATO from two thousand five to two thousand eight. Nuland's diplomatic acumen was further recognized when she served as acting deputy secretary of state between July twenty twenty-three and February twenty twenty-four, following the retirement of Wendy Sherman.

Throughout her career, Nuland achieved the rank of career ambassador, the highest diplomatic rank in the U.S. Foreign Service. She also led the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) as CEO from January twenty eighteen until early twenty nineteen and is currently a distinguished practitioner in grand strategy at Yale University.
