Viktor Krovopuskov, born on September twenty-ninth, nineteen forty-eight, is a distinguished retired sabre fencer who represented the USSR. His journey into the world of fencing began at the tender age of thirteen at the Children and Youth Sport School in Moscow, where he was mentored by the esteemed coach Igor Chernyshev.

In nineteen sixty-seven, Krovopuskov joined the Armed Forces Sports Society in Moscow, marking the beginning of a remarkable career. He proudly served as a member of the USSR National Team from nineteen seventy-three to nineteen eighty-six, during which he achieved extraordinary success on the international stage.

His crowning achievements include winning gold medals in both individual and team sabre events at the nineteen seventy-six and nineteen eighty Summer Olympics. Krovopuskov also claimed the title of world champion in individual sabre twice, in nineteen seventy-eight and nineteen eighty-two, and led his team to victory five times in the team sabre events from nineteen seventy-four to nineteen eighty-five.

In addition to his Olympic and world championship accolades, he won the World Cup in sabre twice, in nineteen seventy-six and nineteen seventy-nine. His exceptional talent earned him the title of Best Sabre Fencer of the World by the International Fencing Federation in nineteen seventy-nine. Krovopuskov's contributions to the sport were recognized with prestigious awards, including the Order of the Red Banner of Labour in nineteen seventy-six and the Order of Lenin in nineteen eighty.
