Viktor Zolotov

Viktor Zolotov, born on January twenty-seventh, nineteen fifty-four, is a prominent Russian military officer currently serving as the Director of the National Guard, known as Rosgvardiya. In addition to this role, he holds the position of National Guard Forces Commander-in-Chief and is a member of the Security Council, showcasing his significant influence within the Russian government.

Throughout his career, Zolotov has been closely associated with key political figures, having served as a bodyguard to former President Boris Yeltsin and former St. Petersburg Mayor Anatoly Sobchak. His relationship with current Russian leader Vladimir Putin began during his tenure with Sobchak, where he became acquainted with Putin and various figures from the St. Petersburg criminal underworld.

As a member of Putin's inner circle, often referred to as the siloviki, Zolotov's ascent to power and wealth is closely tied to his status as a trusted confidant of the President. His family's acquisition of valuable land plots has raised eyebrows, with suggestions that these gains were achieved through questionable means.
