Vince McMahon, born on August 24, 1945, is a prominent American entrepreneur and a pivotal figure in the world of professional wrestling. He co-founded the modern WWE, which has grown to become the largest professional wrestling promotion globally. Alongside his later-estranged wife, Linda, McMahon transformed the wrestling landscape, moving from a fragmented industry to a powerhouse that hosts the iconic annual event, WrestleMania.

McMahon's journey in professional wrestling began in the 1970s as a commentator for WWE, then known as the World Wide Wrestling Federation. In 1982, he took the reins of the company from his father, Vincent J. McMahon, and quickly began to monopolize the industry. His innovative approach led to the absorption of competitors like World Championship Wrestling in 2001 and Extreme Championship Wrestling in 2003, solidifying WWE's dominance.

Throughout his career, McMahon has not only been a wrestling promoter but also an on-screen personality. He introduced the character of Mr. McMahon in 1997, a villainous persona that became iconic in wrestling lore. Under this guise, he became a one-time WWE Champion and a multi-time pay-per-view headliner, captivating audiences with his catchphrase, 'you're fired!'

Despite his success, McMahon's career has not been without controversy. In June 2022, he stepped down as chairman and CEO amid allegations of hush-money agreements related to affairs with former employees. Although he announced his retirement shortly after, he made a comeback as executive chairman in January 2023. His tenure was marked by a merger between WWE and Zuffa, leading to the formation of TKO Group Holdings, where he served as executive chairman until resigning in January 2024 due to serious allegations.

In January 2025, McMahon settled charges with the Securities and Exchange Commission for over one million seven hundred thousand dollars concerning undisclosed hush money payments, all while maintaining his innocence regarding the findings.
