Vincenzo Paglia

Vincenzo Paglia, born on April twenty-first, nineteen forty-five, is a distinguished Italian prelate of the Catholic Church, recognized for his extensive contributions as a priest, theologian, philosopher, and archbishop. His commitment to the Church is evident through his various leadership roles, including serving as the president of the Pontifical Academy for Life from two thousand sixteen to two thousand twenty-five.

Paglia's influence extended to his role as the grand chancellor of the John Paul II Pontifical Theological Institute for Marriage and Family Sciences during the same period. Prior to this, he was the president of the Pontifical Council for the Family from two thousand twelve to two thousand sixteen and served as the Bishop of Terni-Narni-Amelia from two thousand to two thousand twelve.

In addition to his ecclesiastical duties, Paglia co-founded the Community of Sant'Egidio in nineteen sixty-eight, showcasing his dedication to social issues and community service.
