Virginia de' Medici

Virginia de' Medici, born on May twenty-ninth, fifteen sixty-eight, was an influential Italian princess and a prominent member of the illustrious House of Medici. Through her marriage, she became the Duchess of Modena and Reggio, a title that positioned her at the heart of political affairs in Italy.

In the year sixteen hundred and one, Virginia took on the role of Regent of the Duchy of Modena and Reggio during her husband's absence.
