Virginia Foxx

Virginia Foxx, born on June twenty-ninth, nineteen forty-three, is a prominent American politician, educator, and businesswoman. Since two thousand five, she has represented North Carolina's fifth congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. A dedicated member of the Republican Party, Foxx has made significant contributions to her state and the nation throughout her political career.

In her role as a congresswoman, Foxx has held several key positions, including chair of the House Rules Committee since two thousand twenty-five during the one hundred nineteenth Congress. Her leadership experience extends to her tenure as Secretary of the House Republican Conference from two thousand thirteen to two thousand sixteen, showcasing her influence within the party.

Foxx has also played a vital role in education policy, serving as the ranking member of the House Committee on Education and Labor from two thousand nineteen to two thousand twenty-three. She was the committee's chair from two thousand seventeen to two thousand nineteen and again from two thousand twenty-three to two thousand twenty-five, demonstrating her commitment to educational issues.
