Vlado Lisjak

Vlado Lisjak, born on April twenty-ninth, nineteen sixty-two, is a distinguished former Croatian Greco-Roman wrestler who made his mark on the international stage. Competing for Yugoslavia, he showcased his exceptional talent at the 1984 Summer Olympics, where he clinched the gold medal in the sixty-eight kilogram category. His remarkable victory over Tapio Sipilä in the final solidified his status as one of the sport's elite athletes.

In recognition of his outstanding achievement, Lisjak was honored with the Croatian Sportsman of the Year award in nineteen eighty-four, a testament to his dedication and skill in wrestling. After a successful competitive career, which he concluded in nineteen ninety-three, Lisjak transitioned into coaching. He has since taken on the role of director of the Croatian national wrestling team, where he continues to influence the sport and nurture young talent.
