Vuk Drašković

Vuk Drašković, born on November twenty-ninth, nineteen forty-six, is a distinguished Serbian writer and politician whose career spans several decades. He graduated from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law in nineteen sixty-eight, laying the foundation for his multifaceted professional journey.

From nineteen sixty-nine to nineteen eighty, Drašković honed his skills as a journalist at the Yugoslav news agency Tanjug. His political career began with his membership in the League of Communists of Yugoslavia, where he served as the chief of staff to President Mika Špiljak, showcasing his early influence in the political landscape.

In nineteen ninety, he co-founded the Serbian Renewal Movement and took on the role of president, a position he held until twenty twenty-four. His political involvement deepened during the tumultuous times of the late nineties when he served as the war-time Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in nineteen ninety-nine under Slobodan Milošević. Additionally, he was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs for both Serbia and Montenegro and Serbia from two thousand four to two thousand seven.
