Wai Young

Wai Young, born on May twentieth, nineteen sixty, is a prominent Canadian politician and businessperson hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia. She made her mark in the political arena by representing the electoral district of Vancouver South for the Conservative Party of Canada from two thousand eleven to two thousand fifteen. Her journey in the House of Commons began with her election in the two thousand eleven federal election.

Despite her initial success, Wai faced a challenging defeat in the two thousand fifteen election against Harjit Sajjan, the candidate from the Liberal Party. Undeterred, she continued her political ambitions and on June twenty-first, two thousand eighteen, she founded her own municipal party, Coalition Vancouver, where she serves as the leader.

As the mayoral candidate for Coalition Vancouver in the two thousand eighteen municipal election, Wai sought to bring her vision to the city. Although she did not secure the mayoral position, her commitment to public service remained evident as she contested the federal election again in two thousand nineteen.
