Walter Zenga, born on April 28, 1960, is an esteemed Italian football manager and former player, currently leading the Serie C club Siracusa. Renowned for his exceptional skills, he is celebrated as one of the greatest goalkeepers of his generation and a standout figure in Italy's football history.
His illustrious career as a goalkeeper was primarily spent at Inter Milan, where he became a long-time fixture. Zenga also represented the Italy national team, contributing to their fourth-place finish at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. He was the starting goalkeeper during the 1990 FIFA World Cup held in Italy, where he achieved a remarkable record of an unbeaten streak.
Recognized for his outstanding performances, Zenga is a three-time recipient of the IFFHS World's Best Goalkeeper Award and was voted the eighth best goalkeeper of the past quarter-century in 2013.
