Walther Ritz

Walther Ritz, born on February twenty-second, eighteen seventy-eight, was a distinguished Swiss theoretical physicist and mathematician. His contributions to the field of physics are particularly notable for their depth and impact, especially in collaboration with fellow scientist Johannes Rydberg.

Ritz is best remembered for the Rydberg–Ritz combination principle, a significant advancement in the understanding of atomic spectra.
