Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Wang Xu

Wang Xu was a prominent warlord during the late Tang dynasty in China, known for his governance of Guang Prefecture from eight hundred eighty-one to eight hundred eighty-five. His leadership came at a tumultuous time, marked by the challenges of maintaining control and meeting the demands of powerful figures such as Qin Zongquan, who had declared himself emperor.

Faced with insurmountable material demands from Qin Zongquan, Wang Xu made the difficult decision to abandon Guang Prefecture. He led the people and soldiers of the region southward to what is now Fujian, seeking a new beginning amidst the chaos of the era.

However, Wang Xu's journey was cut short when he was overthrown by his own subordinate, Wang Chao. This betrayal not only marked the end of Wang Xu's rule but also paved the way for Wang Chao to establish control over Fujian, ultimately leading to the rise of the Min state during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period.
