Warren Jeffs

Warren Jeffs, born on December third, nineteen fifty-five, is an infamous American cult leader and convicted child sex offender. He presides over the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS), a polygamous sect that emerged in the early twentieth century as a reaction to the mainstream Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' renunciation of polygamy. The FLDS Church, while historically linked to the LDS Church, is disavowed by it.

In two thousand six, Jeffs was placed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List due to his evasion of charges related to orchestrating illegal child marriages between his adult male followers and underage girls in Utah. The following year, he faced eight additional charges in Arizona, including incest and sexual conduct with minors.

Jeffs was initially convicted in September two thousand seven of two counts of rape as an accomplice, receiving a sentence of ten years to life in Utah State Prison. However, this conviction was overturned by the Utah Supreme Court in two thousand ten due to flawed jury instructions. Subsequently, he was extradited to Texas, where he was convicted of sexual assault against minors, including the rape of a fifteen-year-old child bride and aggravated sexual assault against a twelve-year-old child bride. He was sentenced to life in prison, plus twenty years, and fined ten thousand dollars.

Currently, Warren Jeffs is incarcerated at the Louis C. Powledge Unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, located near Palestine, Texas, serving a life sentence for his heinous crimes.
