Wat Tyler emerged as a pivotal figure in the tumultuous landscape of fourteenth-century England, leading the Peasants' Revolt of 1381. His journey began in Canterbury, where he rallied a diverse group of rebels united in their opposition to the oppressive poll tax imposed by the crown.
