Wayne Black, born on November fourteenth, nineteen seventy-three, is a distinguished Zimbabwean tennis coach and former professional player. He embarked on his professional journey in nineteen ninety-four and achieved his highest singles ranking of sixty-nine on March thirtieth, nineteen ninety-eight. As the son of former player Don Black and the younger brother of ATP Tour player Byron Black, Wayne was a pivotal member of the Zimbabwe Davis Cup team for over a decade.

Despite facing challenges with consistency in his singles career, Wayne transitioned to become a doubles specialist as the new millennium approached. This shift proved fruitful, as he celebrated significant success in doubles competitions. He clinched two men's doubles Grand Slam titles at the two thousand one U.S. Open and the two thousand five Australian Open alongside compatriot Kevin Ullyett.

In addition to his men's doubles achievements, Wayne also excelled in mixed doubles, securing titles at the two thousand two French Open and the two thousand four Wimbledon with his sister, Cara Black.
