Wendell (footballer, born 1993)

Wendell Nascimento Borges, born on July 20, 1993, is a talented Brazilian professional footballer renowned for his skills as a left-back. He began his football journey with Iraty, Londrina, and Paraná, competing in the Campeonato Paranaense and Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, where he showcased his potential and caught the attention of larger clubs.

In 2013, Wendell made a significant move to Grêmio, marking his debut in the prestigious Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. His career took a remarkable turn in 2014 when he signed with Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga. Over the course of seven years, he made an impressive two hundred and fifty official appearances, setting a club record for a foreign player.

Wendell's journey continued in 2021 when he transferred to Porto for a fee of four million euros.
