Weyes Blood

Natalie Laura Mering, known to the world as Weyes Blood, was born on June 11, 1988, in the charming town of Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Her journey into music began in the early 2000s, where she first made her mark in the underground noise music scene. Mering's early career included her role as a bassist for the experimental rock band Jackie-O Motherfucker and as the lead singer for the group Satanized.

Initially performing under the name Weyes Bluhd, she released three self-produced solo albums that delved into softer pop and folk sounds. It was not until she adopted the moniker Weyes Blood that her career truly began to flourish. In 2011, she released her debut album, The Outside Room, through the micro-label Not Not Fun Records, marking a significant step in her artistic evolution.

Following this, Weyes Blood signed with the independent label Mexican Summer, where she produced two more albums: The Innocents in 2014 and Front Row Seat to Earth in 2016. Her fourth studio album, Titanic Rising, released in 2019 under Sub Pop, received widespread critical acclaim, solidifying her status in the music industry. Most recently, on November 18, 2022, she unveiled her fifth studio album, And in the Darkness, Hearts Aglow, which has also garnered significant praise.
