Sannie Charlotte Carlson, widely recognized by her stage name Whigfield, was born on April 11, 1970. This Italian-Danish artist has made a significant mark in the music industry as a singer, songwriter, record producer, and former model. She first captured the world's attention with her infectious 1993 hit single 'Saturday Night', which soared to international fame the following year.

During her time in Italy, Whigfield collaborated with renowned producer Larry Pignagnoli, leading to the success of 'Saturday Night', which reached the top five in Italy. Following this, her single 'Another Day' also achieved remarkable success, peaking at number three in the Italian charts. Her musical repertoire includes other popular tracks such as 'Sexy Eyes', 'Think of You', and 'Another Day', all of which made their way into the top ten across various countries including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, and her homeland of Denmark.

In December 1995, Whigfield's cover of 'Last Christmas', paired with her original song 'Big Time', marked her final entry into the UK Top 40.
