Wilder Cartagena

Wilder Cartagena, born on September twenty-third, nineteen ninety-four, is a talented Peruvian professional footballer known for his role as a defensive midfielder. Currently, he plays for Major League Soccer club Orlando City and represents the Peru national team.

Cartagena's football journey began in the youth ranks of Alianza Lima, where he initially started as a goalkeeper. However, his versatility shone through as he transitioned to midfield, showcasing his skills and earning a spot in the professional arena.

In two thousand twelve, he made his professional debut with Alianza Lima. His career took him to Portugal in two thousand fourteen, where he signed with Vitória de Setúbal, although he did not make any appearances for the club. After a brief stint abroad, he returned to Peru in two thousand fifteen, joining Universiad San Martín, where he made one hundred league appearances over three seasons.

In two thousand eighteen, Cartagena ventured into Mexican football with Veracruz, playing for one season before returning to Alianza Lima. His journey continued in two thousand twenty when he signed with Argentinian club Godoy Cruz, where he faced challenges with limited appearances. Midway through two thousand twenty-one, he moved to Emirati club Kalba FC, and a year later, he was loaned to Orlando City, where he eventually secured a permanent deal.
