Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Wilfried Bony

Wilfried Bony, born on December 10, 1988, is a former professional footballer from Ivory Coast, renowned for his role as a striker. He began his football journey at Issia Wazy before making a significant move to Sparta Prague in 2007, where he played a pivotal role in securing the Czech First League title during the 2009-10 season.

In January 2011, Bony transferred to Dutch club Vitesse, where he showcased his scoring prowess by becoming the top scorer in the Eredivisie for the 2012-13 season. His impressive performance led to a transfer to Premier League side Swansea City for a fee of twelve million pounds. During his time with the Swans, he netted thirty-five goals in seventy appearances, solidifying his reputation as a formidable striker.

In January 2015, Bony made a high-profile move to Manchester City for twenty-eight million pounds. However, his time at City was marred by limited playing opportunities, particularly after the arrival of Pep Guardiola in mid-2016. This prompted a loan to Stoke City for the 2016-17 season, followed by a return to Swansea in August 2017. After a loan spell with Al-Arabi, he was released by Swansea in May 2019.

In 2020, Bony signed with Al-Ittihad but mutually agreed to part ways after just ten appearances over ten months. On the international stage, he made his debut for the Ivory Coast in 2010 and was part of the squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, as well as three Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, contributing to the team's triumph in 2015.
