Wilfried Zaha

Wilfried Zaha, born on November 10, 1992, is a professional footballer who currently plays as a winger for Major League Soccer club Charlotte FC, on loan from Süper Lig club Galatasaray. He also represents the Ivory Coast national team, showcasing his talent on an international stage.

A product of Crystal Palace's youth academy, Zaha made his senior debut in 2010 for the club, which was then competing in the Championship. Over the course of just over three seasons, he made 143 appearances and scored 18 goals, playing a crucial role in the team's promotion to the Premier League in 2013.

In a significant move, Zaha joined Manchester United for a transfer fee of ten million pounds, becoming Sir Alex Ferguson's final signing. Although his time at United was brief, with only four appearances and a loan spell at Cardiff City, he returned to Crystal Palace in 2014, where he truly flourished. Over the next nine seasons, he netted 72 goals in 315 appearances, becoming the club's tenth-highest all-time goalscorer and their highest ever goalscorer in the Premier League.

Born in the Ivory Coast and raised in England, Zaha made his debut for the England national team in 2012, participating in two non-competitive matches. After a four-year hiatus from international play, he switched allegiance to the Ivory Coast in 2016, representing his nation in the Africa Cup of Nations in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2025.
