William Allen Walsh

William Allen Walsh, born on August twentieth, eighteen eighty-seven, was a notable figure in Canadian politics and education. Hailing from Kingston, Ontario, he dedicated much of his career to the field of education, serving as a teacher, head teacher, and school superintendent. His most significant role was as the principal of the Protestant Strathcona Academy located in the Montreal suburb of Outremont.

Walsh's political journey began when he was elected as a Conservative member of the House of Commons of Canada, representing the Mount Royal riding in the general election of nineteen thirty-five. His tenure in the 18th Canadian Parliament was marked by his commitment to his constituents and the values of his party.

In March nineteen forty, Walsh sought re-election under the banner of the Conservative-based National Government party. However, he faced defeat at the hands of Fred Whitman from the Liberal party. Tragically, Walsh passed away just months later, on October eighteenth, nineteen forty, leaving behind a legacy as the last non-Liberal representative of the Mount Royal riding in the House of Commons.
