William Deverell

William Deverell, born on March fourth, nineteen thirty-seven, is a distinguished Canadian novelist, writer, lawyer, and screenwriter. Renowned for his contributions to literature and legal advocacy, he has carved a niche for himself as one of Canada's most celebrated authors.

His literary journey began with the debut novel Needles, which drew inspiration from his extensive legal experience. This remarkable work earned him the prestigious Seal First Novel Award from McClelland & Stewart, a testament to his talent and storytelling prowess.
