William Guarnere

William J. Guarnere Sr., born on April 28, 1923, was a distinguished United States Army paratrooper renowned for his valor during World War II. Serving as a non-commissioned officer with Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, in the 101st Airborne Division, Guarnere's contributions to the war effort were significant and impactful.

In 2007, Guarnere co-authored the memoir 'Brothers in Battle, Best of Friends' alongside his close friend Edward 'Babe' Heffron and journalist Robyn Post.
