Wopke Hoekstra

Wopke Hoekstra, born on September thirtieth, nineteen seventy-five, is a prominent Dutch politician affiliated with the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA). He currently holds the esteemed position of European Commissioner for Climate, Net Zero and Clean Growth in the second von der Leyen commission, a role he assumed after a distinguished career in both corporate and political spheres.

Before stepping into his current role, Hoekstra made significant contributions as Minister of Finance in the third Rutte cabinet from two thousand seventeen to two thousand twenty-two.
