Wout Weghorst

Wout Weghorst, born on August 7, 1992, is a prominent Dutch professional footballer who currently plays as a striker for Eredivisie club Ajax and the Netherlands national team. His journey in professional football began in the second tier of Dutch football with Emmen, where he showcased his potential and talent.

Weghorst's career progressed as he made his mark in the Eredivisie with Heracles and AZ. In 2018, he took a significant step by joining VfL Wolfsburg, where he became a key player, netting seventy goals in one hundred forty-four appearances. His impressive performance caught the attention of Burnley, who signed him in January 2022 for a fee of twelve million pounds.

After Burnley faced relegation from the Premier League, Weghorst embarked on a series of loan spells, playing for Beşiktaş in the Turkish Süper Lig, Manchester United in England, and TSG Hoffenheim in Germany.
