Xavier Bettel

Xavier Bettel, born on March third, nineteen seventy-three, is a prominent Luxembourgish lawyer and politician. He has held the esteemed position of deputy prime minister and minister for Foreign Affairs since two thousand twenty-three. Prior to this, Bettel served as the prime minister of Luxembourg from two thousand thirteen to two thousand twenty-three, marking a significant period in the nation's political landscape.

His political journey began with his election to the Chamber of Deputies, where he served from nineteen ninety-nine until two thousand thirteen. During this time, he also held the role of mayor of Luxembourg City from two thousand eleven to two thousand thirteen. Bettel is a dedicated member of the Democratic Party (DP) and took office as prime minister following the two thousand thirteen general election, succeeding Jean-Claude Juncker of the Christian Social People's Party (CSV).
