Xavier Mina

General Martín Francisco Javier Mina y Larrea, known as Xavier Mina, was born on July 1, 1789. He emerged as a prominent figure in the struggle for Mexican independence, combining his legal expertise with military prowess.

Initially trained as a lawyer, Mina's career took a decisive turn as he became involved in the military. His dedication to the cause of independence earned him the nickname El Mozo, reflecting his youthful spirit and commitment to the revolutionary ideals of his time.
