Xiye Bastida

Xiye Bastida, born on April eighteenth, two thousand two, is a prominent Mexican climate activist hailing from the Indigenous Otomi community. Her work has positioned her as a leading figure in the climate movement, particularly as one of the major organizers of Fridays for Future in New York City.

With a strong commitment to amplifying the voices of indigenous and immigrant communities, Xiye has become a vital advocate for visibility in climate activism. She serves on the administration committee of the People's Climate Movement and has previously been involved with organizations such as the Sunrise Movement and Extinction Rebellion.
