Yadgar Nasriddinova

Yadgar Nasriddinova, born on December twenty-sixth, nineteen twenty, was a prominent figure in the political landscape of the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. As an accomplished engineer and politician, she made significant contributions to the governance of the Soviet Union, particularly as a high-ranking member of the Supreme Soviet.

Her political journey began with her involvement in the Komsomol, where she honed her leadership skills. By nineteen fifty-eight, she had ascended to the role of deputy in the Supreme Soviet, a position she held until nineteen seventy-four. During this time, she also served as the Deputy Chair of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet from nineteen fifty-nine to nineteen seventy, showcasing her influence and dedication to her country.

In addition to her deputy role, Nasriddinova chaired the Council of Nationalities of the Supreme Soviet until nineteen seventy-four, further solidifying her status as a key player in Soviet politics. However, her career faced challenges when she was purged from the Communist Party in nineteen eighty-eight amid the corruption investigations related to the Uzbek cotton scandal, following the death of Leonid Brezhnev.

Despite these setbacks, she was rehabilitated and reinstated to party membership in nineteen ninety-one, as the allegations of bribery against her were proven unfounded. Throughout her illustrious career, Nasriddinova was honored with the Order of Lenin on four occasions and received the Order of the Red Banner of Labour twice, reflecting her dedication and service to the Soviet Union.
