Yanick Lehoux, born on April 8, 1982, in Montreal, Quebec, is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward currently navigating the waters as an unrestricted free agent. His journey in the world of ice hockey began at a young age, where he showcased his talent by participating in the prestigious 1996 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Rive-Nord Elites minor ice hockey team.

Lehoux's professional career took off when he was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings as the eighty-sixth overall pick in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. After spending four seasons within the Kings organization, he made his way to the Phoenix Coyotes training camp. However, he was soon reassigned to the American Hockey League (AHL), where he continued to hone his skills.

In a significant move on July 25, 2008, Lehoux signed a one-year contract with the Montreal Canadiens as an unrestricted free agent. Despite his efforts, he was not offered an extension with the team, leading him to seek new opportunities.
