In the 2022 presidential election, he represented the Ecologist Pole alliance, securing four point six percent of the vote and placing sixth.

Jadot's political journey began with his involvement in the Greens party in nineteen ninety-nine. He served as the campaign director for Greenpeace France from two thousand two to two thousand eight, where he honed his skills in environmental advocacy. His political career took a significant turn when he was elected to the European Parliament in two thousand nine, a position he held until twenty twenty-three.

In the twenty seventeen presidential election, he was initially nominated as the candidate for Europe Ecology – The Greens (EELV) but later withdrew in support of Socialist Party candidate Benoît Hamon. His leadership was evident in the twenty nineteen European election, where the EELV national list he headed achieved third place with thirteen point five percent of the vote.

In twenty twenty-one, Jadot was elected as the candidate for the Ecologist Pole alliance in the presidential primary, leading to his candidacy in the twenty twenty-two election. Following this, he was elected as a Senator for Paris in the twenty twenty-three Senate election, officially taking office on October second, twenty twenty-three, marking the end of his tenure in the European Parliament, where he was succeeded by Lydie Massard.
