Yekaterina Gamova

Yekaterina Gamova, born on October 17, 1980, is a celebrated retired Russian volleyball player renowned for her remarkable contributions to the sport. Standing at an impressive height of 2.02 meters (6 feet 8 inches), she has earned the title of the 'Queen of Volleyball' due to her towering presence and dominance at the net. Her stature not only set her apart on the court but also made her one of the tallest female athletes globally.

Throughout her illustrious career, Gamova was a pivotal member of the Russian national team, leading them to victory in the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championships in 2006 and 2010. Her exceptional skills and athleticism also propelled her to the Olympic stage, where she secured silver medals in both the Athens 2004 and Sydney 2000 Games, showcasing her talent on an international level.
