Yisrael Kristal, born on September fifteenth, nineteen oh three, in Maleniec, near Żarnów, was a remarkable Polish-Israeli entrepreneur and pastry chef. Raised in a religious household, he maintained his faith throughout his life, which was marked by extraordinary resilience and survival.
Kristal's early years were shaped by the tumultuous events of World War I, which he experienced as a young teenager. Later, as an adult, he faced the horrors of World War II and the Holocaust, enduring unimaginable hardships. His survival story is a testament to his strength and determination.
After the war, Kristal emigrated to Israel, where he continued his career as a confectioner. His passion for pastry making not only defined his profession but also became a symbol of his enduring spirit. In 2014, he was recognized as the oldest living Holocaust survivor, and following the death of Yasutaro Koide in January twenty sixteen, he earned the title of the oldest living man.
