Yohan Cabaye, born on January 14, 1986, is a distinguished former professional footballer from France, renowned for his role as a midfielder. His football journey commenced at the tender age of six with his hometown club, US Tourcoing, where he honed his skills for seven years before making a significant leap to Lille's youth academy. Cabaye made his professional debut in the 2004–05 season, contributing to Lille's triumph in the 2004 UEFA Intertoto Cup.
As he progressed, Cabaye became a pivotal player for Lille, particularly under the guidance of manager Rudi Garcia. His exceptional performance in the 2009–10 season saw him score over fifteen goals from midfield, establishing him as a key playmaker. The following season, he was instrumental in Lille's remarkable achievement of winning both the league and cup double.
In June 2011, Cabaye took his talents to England, signing a five-year contract with Newcastle United. His impressive form caught the attention of Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, who secured his services for a fee of nineteen million pounds in January 2014. After a stint with PSG, he joined Crystal Palace in July 2015, later moving to Dubai club Al-Nasr and returning to France to play for Saint-Étienne.
