Yolanda Díaz

Yolanda Díaz, born on May sixth, nineteen seventy-one, is a prominent Spanish politician and labour lawyer. She has been serving as the Second Deputy Prime Minister of Spain since two thousand twenty-one and has held the position of Minister of Labour and Social Economy since two thousand twenty. Her political journey is marked by a deep commitment to social justice and workers' rights.

A dedicated member of the Communist Party of Spain, Díaz has been an influential figure in Spanish politics. In two thousand twenty-three, she founded the electoral alliance Sumar, along with its instrumental party, Movimiento Sumar. Díaz's political career began at the local level, where she served as a municipal councillor in Ferrol from two thousand three to two thousand twelve.
