Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, born on June twenty-first, eighteen eighty, was a prominent Orthodox rabbi and the sixth Rebbe of the Chabad Lubavitch Hasidic movement. Known affectionately as the Frierdiker Rebbe, which translates to 'Previous Rebbe,' he played a crucial role in preserving Orthodox Judaism during a tumultuous period in history.
