Youri Tielemans

Youri Marion A. Tielemans, born on May 7, 1997, is a distinguished Belgian professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Aston Villa and serves as the captain of the Belgium national team.

His football journey began at Anderlecht, where he made a remarkable impact with 185 official appearances and 35 goals over four seasons. During his time there, he celebrated two league titles and earned the prestigious title of Belgian Professional Footballer of the Year in 2017. Notably, Tielemans became the youngest Belgian to participate in the UEFA Champions League, debuting at the age of 16 years and 148 days.

After a successful stint at Monaco in Ligue 1, he made a significant move to Leicester City in 2019, initially joining on loan before the club secured his services for an estimated fee of thirty-three million pounds. At Leicester, he played 195 matches and netted 28 goals, including the decisive strike in the 2021 FA Cup final, a moment that etched his name in the club's history.

On the international stage, Tielemans has represented Belgium at various youth levels before earning his first senior cap in November 2016 at the age of 19.
