His football journey began at the prestigious Paris Saint-Germain youth academy, where he honed his skills before making his debut for the PSG B team in two thousand four.
In two thousand six, Mulumbu was promoted to the first team of Paris Saint-Germain. His career took a significant turn as he embarked on loan spells with Amiens and West Bromwich Albion, where he eventually signed a permanent deal.
