In two thousand seventeen, Tsunoda clinched his first full championship in the JAF Japan F4 East Series, followed by a remarkable victory in the F4 Japanese Championship the subsequent year. His ascent continued as he transitioned to FIA Formula 3 in two thousand nineteen with Jenzer, where he also became a member of the prestigious Red Bull Junior Team. Tsunoda's impressive performance culminated in a third-place finish during his rookie season in FIA Formula 2 in two thousand twenty with Carlin.
