Bergeron's professional career took flight in the early seventies, where he made a notable impact in the World Hockey Association. During the 1972–73 season, he played sixty-five games for the Quebec Nordiques, contributing to the team's competitive spirit and performance.

In addition to his time in the WHA, Bergeron also had brief stints in the National Hockey League, appearing in three games for the Pittsburgh Penguins during the nineteen seventy-four seventy-five and nineteen seventy-six seventy-seven seasons.
