Yves Lessard

Yves Lessard, born on January second, nineteen forty-three, in Barville, Quebec, is a prominent Canadian politician and trade unionist. His career spans various roles, including that of an agricultural producer and businessperson, showcasing his diverse expertise and commitment to public service.

Lessard's political journey began at the municipal level, where he served as a city councillor in Saint-Basile-le-Grand from two thousand one to two thousand four. His dedication to the community led him to represent the Bloc Québécois in the House of Commons after being elected in the two thousand four federal election for the Chambly—Borduas riding.

In addition to his parliamentary duties, Lessard took on the role of mayor of Saint-Basile-le-Grand from two thousand seventeen until two thousand twenty-five, further solidifying his influence in local governance.
