Zach Blair, born on December twenty-sixth, nineteen seventy-three, is a prominent American guitarist and musician, celebrated for his role as the lead guitarist and backing vocalist for the Chicago-based punk rock band Rise Against. Joining the band in early two thousand seven, he made his debut on their fifth studio album, Appeal to Reason, and has contributed to every subsequent album, solidifying his place in the band's legacy.
Before his tenure with Rise Against, Blair was an integral part of the melodic hardcore group Only Crime, which he formed alongside his brother, Doni Blair, who is currently a member of the Toadies. The duo also co-founded the bands Hagfish and Armstrong, showcasing their musical synergy and creativity.
Blair's diverse musical journey includes a notable stint as Flattus Maximus in the iconic band Gwar from nineteen ninety-nine to two thousand two. He made a memorable return to Gwar as Splattus Maximus on their two thousand thirteen album, Battle Maximus. Additionally, he has served as a second touring guitarist for The Loved Ones and contributed to the instrumental band The Mag Seven's album, The Future Is Ours, If You Can Count.
