Zach Ziemek

Zach Ziemek, born on February 23, 1993, is a distinguished American athlete renowned for his prowess in the decathlon. His remarkable career has seen him become one of only two American men to compete in three Olympic decathlons, showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.

Throughout his Olympic journey, Ziemek has made history by being the only American to complete three Olympic Decathlons, participating in the events held in 2016, 2020, and 2024. His commitment to excellence was evident when he secured a bronze medal at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, achieving a personal best score of eight thousand six hundred seventy-six points.

In addition to his World Championship success, Ziemek represented the United States at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, where he finished sixth. His Olympic debut came in 2016, where he impressively placed seventh in the decathlon. Earlier in his career, he also competed at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing, finishing in fifteenth place.
