Zaira Wasim

Zaira Wasim, born on October 23, 2000, is an acclaimed Indian former actress known for her remarkable contributions to Hindi cinema. She gained widespread recognition for her role as a young Geeta Phogat in the biographical sports film Dangal, released in 2016. This film not only marked her debut but also became the highest-grossing Indian film, amassing over two thousand crore rupees worldwide.

Following her impressive debut, Wasim starred in the musical drama Secret Superstar in 2017, where she portrayed an aspiring singer. This film achieved significant success, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film featuring a female protagonist. Her performances in both films earned her numerous accolades, including the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for Dangal and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Critics) for Secret Superstar.
